As you may now from recents posts, Petal turned five on Saturday! I had to work but we still celebrated with presents, snuggles and a walk, followed by a photo shoot on Sunday.

I wanted the celebration to continue, so here’s another post for my girl and some pictures from our photo shoot.

For her birthday Petal got three new toys and the early gift of a made over Coolaroo bed (which I’m quite proud of). Her new toys include a large orange Toppl from West Paw, a little tiny puppy stuffie also from West Paw, and a plush lights-up-when-you-throw-it snowball from Walmart.

Snowball, puppy, Toppl. The Toppl is really fun. I recently ordered her another one, a small one, to connect to this large one to make it twice the challenge for her.

I spray painted the black bars metallic gold and replaced our worn green cover with a new grey color. Then I bought a cheap sheepskin from Ikea to toss on it. It’s now fit for a Princess! 

She’s not spoiled, by the way, she deserves all this stuff for being such a loyal friend and a persistent little therapist. 😉

Petal, watching you grow has been such a treat! You are such a smart girl and so quick to learn. You’re active and vibrant and the most talkative dog I’ve ever had. You’re sweet and silly, you always seem to know how and when to make me smile and laugh. You’re a wonderful snuggle buddy (even though you sometimes hog the pillows or the blankets or the space on the bed) and a terrific friend. I love you and I hope we get to have many more adventures together!
