When I came home from work a few days ago my Dad told me to look at the pictures he had taken with Petal. He said they involved Petal and a photo of Lassie he had saved from a wet box. I asked him if these pictures were going to make me cry, he said probably.

He should’ve said definitely.

I cried immediately upon seeing this photo.

Though Petal didn’t know Lassie when he was a puppy, there is no doubt in my mind that she knew this was a photo of him. There is also no doubt in my mind that she misses him as much as I do.
