Tasty Tuesday: Petal’s first cocktail

As I mentioned in yesterday’s post, Petal and I have been out of town a lot recently. It started with a trip to Washington with our really close friends that we’ve been living with for the past few months. We left on the 21st of July and got home on the 1st of August. Then Monday, August 4th, we were whisked away for a fun and beautiful (and wet, it rained more during our Utah camping trip than it did during our entire Washington trip) camping trip with my family that would last until the 8th.

We are exhausted but oh so grateful for the fun times we had and the memories that were made on both trips. I have so many fun photos and stories to share with you guys now. We’ll start with Petal’s First Cocktail, which she had over the weekend in Washington, since it’s Tasty Tuesday.

My best friend, Carly, lives in the beautiful state of Washington and Petal and I were lucky enough to get to spend a weekend with her while we were there.

During that weekend we went out to lunch at Ristrettos Coffee & Wine (funny enough, neither one of us ordered coffee or wine). They have a really pretty and dog friendly patio to eat at, so it was the perfect place for the three of us to stop at for lunch. We passed this sign at the patio’s entrance and I realized they weren’t just dog friendly, they were dog lovers!

Thanks Carly for snapping this picture!

Certainly enough we humans were greeted with friendly smiles while Petal was greeted with rubs and kisses. She asked me if Petal could have a T-R-E-A-T. Of course I said yes and I thanked her for spelling out the word as Petal knows that one far too well!

Now I fully expected them to come back with a dog biscuit or two and I thought that was so sweet and thoughtful of them. But instead they brought out a little cocktail glass with several little doggy biscuits in it.

Little cocktail glass filled with dog treats.

Thanks for this photo too, Carly!

How incredibly cute is this?! Petal’s first cocktail. She’s one classy pup.

And this one too! Glad you weren’t lame and unprepared like I was! ;P

“Stop with the pictures and let me eat it!!”
One classy and impatient pup. 😉

Today we’re participating in the Tasty Tuesday blog hop hosted by Sugar the Golden Retriever and Kol’s Notes. Thanks Sugar and Kol!
