Black & White Sunday: Rain, Pillow cocoon and Fireworks

It has been a rainy week, but this morning has been especially rainy so far. We had a bit of very loud thunder earlier and some lightning as it rains on and off. Hopefully we’ll get a walk in later today, but for now we’re snuggling and playing inside.

Speaking of snuggling… I found Petal sleeping like this a few nights ago:

She slept like this, cocooned in a pillow, for quite awhile. Silly girl.

I hope all you Americans had a fun and safe Independence day. I watched all the fireworks through my camera.

Fun with Petal and Pepper

Petal and Pepper had some fun at a friend’s house yesterday.
We ran, we played fetch, we rolled in the grass, we worked on some training and I even convinced Petal to run through the sprinklers with me.
“Your Collie willingly got wet?!”
Yes she did. Well, sort of. I bribed her.
With a couple pieces of a Zuke’s treat.

We played a few games of fetch with Petal’s favorite ball.

Then I had a couple of very happy girls on my hands.

I love it when Petal looks like she’s smiling a big cheesy grin with her eyes closed blissfully.

Now we’re having a sleepy, lazy Saturday (after we took our morning walk, of course).

Just Petal

Sunday evening I went for a walk with Petal and my youngest sister around the university campus. It’s beautiful there with all it’s trees and flowers and beautiful landscaping.

Here’s some of what we saw on our walk.

We saw lots of pretty flowers…

A winding path…

A spotless ladybug…

A colorful bus…

Lots of people riding bikes…

And I saw plenty of this cute booty…

And the sweet face on the other end. 😉

“I am Queen of all the land!”

I had her climb up on this rock. She looked pretty proud of herself up there.
Even though I had her in a stay, I had my sister hold her leash while I took pictures. We were too close to a busy road for my comfort.
