As I have said before…

I have said this many times before,
Petal can fly.
And now I have proof.

I actually caught Petal flying through the skies, searching for the home with the best meal cooking someone who may be in trouble!

See?! Super Flying Collie!
All she needs is a cape!*

Are you in trouble?
Call Petal! She’ll come save you!

These are the posts that are made when I’m quite hungry.
Time for lunch.

*I tried to draw a cape on her. I really did. But my drawing skills are even more terrible on the computer, so I spared your eyes and dropped the cape.

Petal the Cartoon

Two of my sisters are spectacular artists.
I don’t know how they do it, I can’t even draw a proper circle, but they do.

My youngest sister, Miranda (who will be 14 this summer), loves to draw wolves and huskies and dogs, among other things.
So of course I pestered her to draw my dogs.
Eventually she did and I told her I would post them on the blog some time.
I never did.
Oops.
So she pestered me and here we are.
Her latest drawings are of Petal and both were done on the computer.
This one is my favorite,

Yeah, I watermarked the heck out of both of them. No stealing from my baby sister. 😉

Amazing, right?
It was inspired by this picture,

And this second one is so sweet,

I love it when Petal curls herself into a tiny, precious ball of fluff.

Thank you, Miranda, for the adorable, lovely, darling drawings.
You are so talented.
I love you!

Swoon

Ladies,
brace yourselves.

Are you ready?

Are you sure?

Get ready to…

swoon.

And yes, he’s single.
😉

He enjoys long walks around the neighborhood, chasing his tail, and hunkering down with a nice bully stick or a cold KONG at the end of a long day of marking his territory.
He also likes to snuggle.

April showers bring May flowers

Sunday night we had some loud, crazy, kinda scary, wind.
Then Monday it rained.
Today it snowed.
Yup, more snow!

Not much, just a light dusting, but that didn’t matter, Petal was still excited.
She kept leading me to the leashes, barking at me and then nudging the leashes with her nose.
Who could say no to that?
Not me, that’s for sure.

Today looks like this.

So I bundled up and took them outside.
Despite all the layers I wore, I still nearly froze (the wind was ice cold).
But it was worth it to watch them race around the yard.

Petal and Penny played “circle around the weird box thing that’s been here way longer than any of us have!”
Petal won, as always. Penny cried, as always.
She’s still not as fast as Petal.

Ignore the weeds. I gotta get those pulled.

They also played fetch…

I swear Petal knows how to skip. ;P

Okay, so Penny played fetch, Petal just ran along beside her.
Petal says it’s only fair to let Penny win at something. 😉

Look at those ears!

And what did Lassie do, you ask?
He poked around the yard a little, peeing here and there, but mostly he just followed me around, enjoying the wind,

and the camera. 😉

Now I’m ready for a nap.
