Cheater!

Hey everyone, Petal here.
I’ve taken over the keyboard to warn all you doggies that my cousin, Penny, is a dirty, lousy, ankle biting, tail snatching cheater.

Don’t think this sweet little face is capable of cheating?
Well, you’re wrong. So wrong, friends.
Just look at the photographic proof!
Example number 1:
Here I am, minding my own business,

Then all of the sudden,

she came running out of no where and body slammed me!
Thud, right against my ribs.
Good thing I’m a super strong super hero and just laughed it off, like super strong pups do.

Example number 2:

Here we are, enjoying a lovely game of chase, but why is Penny running with her mouth wide open like that?

 photo readyforamouthful1.png

Looks like she’s getting ready to take a bite out of something, doesn’t she?
That’s because she is.

Yes, that IS my tail in her mouth! The little piranha!

You see, Penny is jealous of my spectacular speed, but instead of simply being faster, she grabs hold of my tail to keep up.
Cheater.

Case closed.
Penny is a cheater cheater, poopoo pumpkin eater.
But we still have fun.

Yours truly,

Kicking up dirt

I think I may have mentioned this before, but
have you ever had one of those moments where you think,
“Man, I wish I was a dog, so I could run around like this,”
PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket

Or am I just crazy?
(naw, you don’t need to answer that. ;))
Because I find myself envying admiring their powerful four legs often.
Admiring the graceful way they move.
Until they face-plant it in the mud.
Then I don’t feel so jealous anymore.

Happy Saturday, everyone! :)
Have a lovely weekend!

Today’s walk

Our morning walk today looked like this:

Well, that’s what the sky looked like. It was definitely brighter than that out. 😉

It was so cool and lovely out.
The dogs were surprisingly mellow.
That’s not to say that they didn’t run around and have a blast though.
They just weren’t as ZOOM! WHOOSH! as they usually are.
So, after they got a little running around done, our walk was pretty calm and peaceful.

Lassie was, of course, glued to my side (where the treat bag is!) after he played for his usual 2-10 seconds.

Petal and Ella, once they were done racing, hopped around, going from bush to bush, as they sniffed about.
Then we (we being me, my Mom, and Ella) came across this little guy:

Or girl.
I wouldn’t really know.
Speaking of me not knowing, I’m not entirely sure what he/she is.
Anyone know?
After doing a few Google searches he looks like a tiger salamander to me.
Though I don’t know what he was doing out there. There wasn’t any water in sight.
A few slightly (very slightly) rainy days and suddenly the salamanders are moving in. ;P

Running shots

I absolutely love getting pictures of the dogs in action. I love it when they run laps around the yard. I think the way they move is beautiful and I’ve always been jealous of four-legged creatures (yes, I was one of those kids who liked to walk and run on my hands and knees (how did you guess?! ;P), I also kept my fingers curled into my palms and called them my ‘paws’ and nearly everyday I had my Mom put my hair up into two high pigtails or as I called them: puppy dog ears). To run like that would be so great!
Here are some action pictures I got about a week ago.
Enjoy. :]

Zoomies

They had a great time in the yard this morning. Racing around in circles, wrestling, rolling around (Ella), digging (also Ella), barking at things blowing in the wind (started by Ella).

Then they came inside and enjoyed peanut butter and cheese crackers in their Kongs.
Now it’s time for a nap!
